I interrupt my sick-induced respite, as well as your life, to bring you this breaking news.
My 7yr old has just alerted me to the fact that frozen foods cure fevers.
Due to technical difficulties, we are not able to bring you any video or audio of the incredible and groundbreaking information. What follows is a copy of the transcript.
.:.
Joe: Mommy, did you know frozen foods cure fevers?
Mommy: No, I did not know that.
Joe: Well, it is true. When you have a fever, it is because your body is very hot. So, what you do is you eat lots of frozen food. The cold from the frozen food will meet up with the germs, which are hot. Once the frozen foods connect with the germs, the germs sizzle. You’ll feel a little weird at first, but then you’ll feel better. So, since you have a fever, you should eat frozen foods. Oh, and you need to drink tons of water, too. Frozen foods and water are very important when you have a fever.

This concludes this breaking news story, you may return to your life already in progress.

“The Germs Sizzle” would be a great name for a blog.
Welcome, IdiotPrufs. I am glad you picked up on ‘the germs sizzle’ part. When he uttered those words, I knew I had to document the moment.
I agree, it would be a great name for a blog. Have at it! 🙂 Thanks for visiting.
Frozen food for fever. Sure, why not? Makes sense to me.
Welcome to the neighborhood, Ribbie. If frozen foods cause the germs to sizzle, I think there is promise in the idea.
It’s good to know that there are multiple uses for frozen food.
Can you ask him what to do for a migraine? I’ll try about anything today.
Katy, Joe is currently working on a treatment/cure. He wanted me to express his sympathy for you. He will work hard to help you find relief.
Does he make housecalls? I could use a big ol’ hug right about now…
Oh Katy, we are sending you many big ol’ hugs.
Oooooh – I feel better already. Thanks (I sure miss little kid hugs – they are the very BEST).
BRILLIANT! How did he come UP with that? Little kids are so so awesome.
Duh! He’s MY kid, Kim. *eyeroll* As if anything but brilliant ideas would come from his head.
So, we need to ingest our chicken soup frozen? Cute, he may be onto something.
If you want the germs to sizzle, Patti – the food must be frozen. I’m sorry, but those are the instructions from the kid.
PS I’m glad you’re in good hands!
Me, too, Patti. Thank you.
Is there a future Doctor/Researcher in the House??? Who knows, he may really have a terrific theory going on! Out of the mouths of babes…right? Hope your cough goes away soon. They are just such a nuisance!!
Doctor, engineer, or artist – Joe is blessed with many talents. I’m excited about his future.
Coughs linger for so long, eh, Donna? But, it’s getting rid of the gunk, and that is good.
I don’t know if I could do a Lean Cuisine without zapping it first.
Well, Speaker7 – you are welcome to adjust the directions as you like, but Joe cannot guarantee it will work. Please do not hold him accountable. Good luck.
He is a smart cookie. I think cookies along with frozen foods would help a fever. Hope you’re feeling better today?
A smart cookie who likes making cookies, eating the batter and eating cookies for dessert. Which reminds me, I forgot to include cookies in his lunch today (for camp). I hope he doesn’t develop a fever.
I’m feeling better, Darla. The cough lingers, which is normal. I’m dizzy and nauseous, but I think that is from the lack of appetite and little food ingestion. I’ll fix that for certain!
And here I am spending lots of money on cold medicine! I should just head to the freezer section of the grocery store.
When you know better, Jackie – you can do better. Now you know.
Hahaha… I might have to try that out!
Why… I think I might be a big feverish at the moment! It’s probably best to try a little preventative medicine!
🙂
Be sure to tell your friends. We want to help cure the world of fevers. We’ll move on to bigger things next.
Dr. Joe! I’m a fan. Tell me, does he accept Blue Cross?
Linda, Dr. Joe accepts all kinds of insurance. He has a reduced rate for those uninsured, too.
Of course, you substitute Ben & Jerry’s for the frozen food, right? A little preventive medicine all year round is a smart idea. LD : )
*sigh* I am abstaining from ice cream for a bit, Lisa. I hope I don’t get sick.
Oh, no. Be careful, Lenore.
I’m a little nervous.
You do realize that it depends on what frozen food you eat. Perhaps your abstention from ice cream is the reason you’re sick! Ice cream is frozen food, after all, and perhaps it’s not only a treatment for colds, but also a preventative measure! 😉
I had a pint last night. Shhhhh… don’t tell anyone. 🙂
Oh my gosh, this is SO cute! Your little guy has it all figured out. 🙂 I’ve been away from blogging for a while, as you might know, but to come back and see this great new layout for your site — was so refreshing. I really like it. And if you look at your home page as one big photo, my what a focus and happiness you have on your children! Love it. Well done, Lenore! Hope you are feeling better.
Well hello, Melissa! Good to see you again. Thank you very much for your kind words. I am glad you like what you see. I am feeling tons better, too. Joe keeps us entertained with his brilliant ideas, and the two make great photo subjects. 🙂
