I have a confession. I think Rob looks super-hot in his old man magnifying glasses he purchased at the grocery store. This morning I found Rob and Joe on the couch, researching their latest project. It was enough to make this wife and mom swoon.
What are they working on this morning? Oh, they are building a metal detector with a small AM radio and a calculator. Seriously.

And the Rubik’s cube is solved, obviously!!! Check that off their list for the day!
Oh no. The Rubik’s cube is not solved – just one side is the same color. Funny you noticed, because Joe insisted the cube be in the picture.
Haha!!! Please tell him I DID notice it!!! And I thought he was a genius…..and still do! 🙂
Oh I would swoon too. I love to see HJ and Noah watching stupid car shows together and commenting on them.
I was thinking the same thing about the Rubik’s cube. This picture reminds me of my brother-in-law and his boys, always building something cool.
I am so grateful to have Rob as a Dad/husband. He creates so much with these boys. The are two seriously lucky kids.
Now that’s an image to carry one through the day. Too precious. Can’t blame ya for snappin’ this memory.
Blessings to you and the family, Lenore – Maxi
Moments like the one I captured, Maxi, means so much to me. It’s such an honor to see Rob spend such quality time with the boys.
Would you send them up this weekend? I need to replace the speakers in the miata. I have some concrete and egg cartons.
How did the metal detector come out?
Sure! I am confident they will meet the speaker-replacement challenge successfully, especially with the items you have on hand.
The metal detector is not working consistently; however, they continue to tweak it on a daily basis. They will not give up – they will never give up. 🙂
OMG, Joe is such a mini-me of his dad! Two cuties for sure.
Don’t you love the glasses on both? I love this picture. I married Rob – in part – because he was a geek. I am proud to see we created a new geek. Long live geeks!
So. You’ve got TWO guys in your life to help fix pretty much anything that needs fixing. Not that you couldn’t fix it yourself. Just means you have more time to sit and admire. 🙂
Yeah. It is true, and I sit and admire often. Sitting is what I do best. 🙂
