Project 366: Day 79

Today is a special day in our house, because today is Rob’s birthday.

He’s not much of a celebrator. He doesn’t want a party. He doesn’t want bells and whistles. He doesn’t want me to send out his email address to my friends and family, asking that happy birthday wishes be sent his way; I would never do such a thing.

And last but certainly not least, he doesn’t want to provide me with any pictures of him as a baby, toddler, etc. Thankfully, I know his Mom.

.:.

Forty some-odd years ago, Rob was born and crying out for me.

.:.

Forty some-odd years ago, Rob was wide-eyed with hope he’d find me.
.:.

Forty some-odd years ago, Rob wore a green and red striped turtleneck, knowing I had a thing for turtlenecks.

.:.

Thank goodness this man, born forty some-odd years ago, found me,
so we could ride off into the sunset together.
Happy birthday, Rob! I love you!

  1. This is just a wee Happy Birthday, Rob. Your wife went and blabbed, now the whole world knows you’re forty-something. Blessings – Maxi

  2. Great pics! That one of you two in the convertible looks like fun!

    Happy 40-something birthday, Rob!

    1. Thank you, Jackie. Did I mention it in the post? The picture of the two of us is my very favorite picture. We were in Maine, heading back from Nova Scotia, and we were catching a flight out of Boston.

  3. Yeay, Rob…those forty years are mere fodder for what’s to come. Hang on to your hat, with a woman like Lenore by your side, there is no limit! Happy Forty Something!

  4. Hope Rob and you and the boys had just the kind of birthday you wanted. The pictures are beautiful. Especially the one of the two of you. Have a lovely time with your man, Lenore.

    1. Thank you, Priya. The one of me and Rob is my absolute favorite photo of the two of us. Such a wonderful day that was for us. Thank you for your kind wishes.

That was my thought on the matter. Your comment?
