Project 366: Day 19

Rob and I went for a walk on a clear and crisp winter day. Looking up at the bare trees Rob said, “I love how you can see all the nests in the trees in winter.” Glancing up in the same direction he was looking, I nodded and said, “I agree.”

I’m glad my nest is on the ground and surrounded by walls that don’t ‘shed’ during the winter months. Getting out on the right side of the bed in my house can prove challenging as it is – with a nest so high in the tree, I’d fear the first time I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. That first step is a doozy!

    1. Ha! Just think how good I’d be if I actually knew what I was doing – had a larger zoom lens – etc.! Yeah, no. I’ll just wing it and cheer when one of the 50 I take turns out decent. 🙂

  1. Hi,
A good photo, the nest really stands out without the cover of the trees greenery, the bird that built the nest must feel a bit exposed I imagine.

  2. It is interesting to see what some of our feathered and furry friends built during nesting season. It’s easier to see the birds waiting to come to the feeders when there are no leaves, too. Nice shot.

That was my thought on the matter. Your comment?
