Today is the start of the Lenten season. For some, Lent is a time to commit to fast or give up something for the 4o days between Ash Wednesday (today) and Easter (Sunday April 8th).
I did not grow up with the tradition of fasting or giving something up for Lent, but I have observed the tradition of abstinence for the past couple of years, and I will observe the tradition again this year. Let the journey begin.
Today I’m giving you my own version of a lion sitting down with a lamb, though there is neither a lion nor a lamb pictured.
Still, here is proof the large can sit in peace with the small, provide the small keeps its paws off the bone.

If you live in the United States, you know today is President’s Day. At the risk of stating the obvious, President’s Day is a government holiday honoring the U.S. Presidents, past and present.
