If you live in the United States, you know today is President’s Day. At the risk of stating the obvious, President’s Day is a government holiday honoring the U.S. Presidents, past and present.
Well, with all due respect to the Presidents of the United States, today is also a day to honor another president: the President of WEAVA. What?! You don’t know the President of WEAVA? Have you been living under a rock? WEAVA was a fantastic home improvement company run by three guys: Mo, Curly and Larry.
I’m kidding. Their names were Bruce, Joe and Tom, though one could easily confuse them for the 3 Stooges.
In any case, today is President Tom Eason’s birthday. According to President Tom, in honor of his birthday, the US banks and postal services are closed. In addition, countless stores are having special President’s Day sales in honor of him.
I hope you’ll join me (and the world), as I wish the bestest of birthday wishes to President Tom. He was one of my Dad’s closest friends, and he will always hold a special place in the hearts of my family.
Please enjoy the following pictures of President Tom.

President Tom is a
grumpy happy man, who loathes loves being out in public.

President Tom is approachable and friendly, as long as you don’t mention the bag

Actually …

President Tom is a great man, father, grandfather and friend. Happy birthday, Tom. If heaven exists, my Dad is raising his can of Milwaukee’s Best in your honor.
We love you.

At first I was confused, but now I’m not. What a lovely tribute!
Confusing people is one of my greatest skills, Peg. I am glad you were able to come around to clarity. 🙂
Loved this, Lenore. How lucky you all are to know him.

Tom is a ton of fun to be around, SIG. I wish we were able to see him more – it’s been way too long.
What a sweet way to honor a friend and your Dad at the same time. Lovely post, LD.
Thanks, Lisa. I have such happy memories of my Dad and Tom. The two of them would laugh and laugh and laugh. Man did they ever have good times together.
Sweet post, Lenore.
Thanks, Patti.
What a fun man Tom was. Great tribute my friend!
A fun man Tom IS… he’s still alive. Woo hoo! More fun to be had with Tom! (smile) Thanks for the kind words, Stasha.
How lucky you are that Tom left such wonderful memories for the lives he touched.
Blessings – Maxi
I feel I’ve done Tom a disservice. He is still very much alive. Thankfully, he is still able to touch the lives of many with his awesome personality. My Dad, Joe, on the other hand… we lost him in 1994.
