Project 366: Day 51

If you live in the United States, you know today is President’s Day. At the risk of stating the obvious, President’s Day is a government holiday honoring the U.S. Presidents, past and present.

Well, with all due respect to the Presidents of the United States, today is also a day to honor another president: the President of WEAVA. What?! You don’t know the President of WEAVA? Have you been living under a rock? WEAVA was a fantastic home improvement company run by three guys: Mo, Curly and Larry.

I’m kidding. Their names were Bruce, Joe and Tom, though one could easily confuse them for the 3 Stooges.

In any case, today is President Tom Eason’s birthday. According to President Tom, in honor of his birthday, the US banks and postal services are closed. In addition, countless stores are having special President’s Day sales in honor of him.

I hope you’ll join me (and the world), as I wish the bestest of birthday wishes to President Tom. He was one of my Dad’s closest friends, and he will always hold a special place in the hearts of my family.

Please enjoy the following pictures of President Tom.

.:.

President Tom is a grumpy happy man, who loathes loves being out in public.

.:.

President Tom is approachable and friendly, as long as you don’t mention the bag.

Actually …

.:.

President Tom is a great man, father, grandfather and friend. Happy birthday, Tom. If heaven exists, my Dad is raising his can of Milwaukee’s Best in your honor.

We love you.

You’re welcome to find out more about Tom by reading a post I wrote in March of 2011: Dear Tom.

    1. I feel I’ve done Tom a disservice. He is still very much alive. Thankfully, he is still able to touch the lives of many with his awesome personality. My Dad, Joe, on the other hand… we lost him in 1994.

That was my thought on the matter. Your comment?
