Generally speaking, anniversaries are cause for celebration. Whether gathering together in honor of someone’s birthday or honoring another year married, anniversary celebrations are filled with smiling faces and the sounds of laughter. However, anniversaries can also mark a time in history when neither smiling faces nor the sound of laughter exist.

Throughout the world, anniversaries exist and remind us of a specific time when governments, terrorists, dictators, etc. killed innocent people. As the date nears, conversations grow, pictures and videos resurface, and people recall their own memories of the tragedy. Continue reading “But we do – we do forget.”

The Offspring of my Other Obsession

I am a woman with many obsessions. My main obsession is ice cream, but I am not writing about ice cream, today. Instead, I am writing about my other obsession and my other obsession’s offspring.

Now, before I get to the other obsession and the other obsession’s offspring, I want to remind you of the fact that I am a fan of Dancing with the Stars. Go ahead, judge me. I stand behind my random fandom. In fact, I proudly admitted to being a fan here, in this post. (Go Sugar! Go Sugar!)

Where have all the bloggers gone?

It’s happening again, for the third or forth day in a row.

I access my WordPress account, ready to read my version of the morning paper, only to find a note that reads, “Nothing to read! Why not find your friends, subscribe to some blogs, or have a look at Freshly Pressed?”
