It is time again for another installment of Wednesday’s “What is It?”. Which means, it is time again for me to repeat what I said last week at this time.
I challenge you to guess what my picture is today, and I invite you to create your own photo challenge. Tag your post with ‘mystery photo’, and use the hash-tag #mysteryphoto on Twitter.
Like last week, the week prior to last week, etc. etc… I have no prizes for the winner, aside from the pride you feel when you guess correctly.
So, what is it? Leave a comment, letting me know what you think the photo shows. I’ll tell you the answer in my post on Friday. (If you click on the photo to enlarge it, you will need to use the back-arrow to return to the post.)
NOTE: I am making all comments ‘pending approval’, so everyone can guess on their own. Comments will be ‘released’ on Friday.

Tough one this week, Lenore! Maybe a faucet??? Spigot???? Whatever you call it???
It’s a honor to have stumped you with this one, Beth Ann. I say sweetly, of cource. 🙂
looks like a fire hydrant to me
Woo hoo!!! You won, Joe D! Thanks muchly for playing. You made my day by stopping by this here place. So much love! 😀
Connector of pipe to spigot! I think!
My work is done here, for I have stumped Leonore. Though technically, you did get the water part correct; and, I suppose one could argue that a fire hydrant is a water spigot of sorts. Dang.
*laugh* Sneaky, aren’t I? 😉 I’m right through a technicality, but wrong in the essence! I was still hung up on the garden hose, so I thought it was the spigot that you might attach the hose to. But you _do_ have to attach a fire hose to the spigot…hey! Right idea, wrong scale 🙂
Fire hydrant.
Ding ding ding ding!! You got it right, Deanne! Thanks for playing.
Plumbing part. Under a sink, perhaps
Close – in that water is involved. Thank you for playing, Carol.
The toilet for a heavy metal band?
Shoot. That was going to be the shot I was using next week. *sigh*
Could this be a fire hydrant?
Not only could it be – but it is! You got it right. Well done.
Yippee! This is the first one I had a clue as to what it was!
Fire hydrant? Though it seems like the wrong color…
Smarty pants. And stop judging something by its color, Steve. 😉
That’s the top of a fire hydrant
You and your public safety coworkers. Always knowing a fire hydrant when you see one. *sigh*
Fire fighter is the best part time job in the world
Water meter
No, but the water meter will certainly tick faster when this particular item is used. 😀
A fire hydrant? The hydrants here are red, but I’ll go with that answer.
Have a great week!
You got it, Jackie! I guess they prefer silver here in the south. 🙂
