Joe’s teacher asked me to take pictures of every child in their class. This was my second ‘photo-shoot’ with the class; the first one was done indoors. While waiting for the next child to come outside, I snapped a few shots of the roses. I noticed the little buzzing fly hoovering around the roses, and I admit I was trying to capture the little guy, but I was surprised I captured him in flight.

It is a very nice photo, Lenore. Really pretty.
Thank you, Carol. The sun and I were in the right place at the right time. Oh, the little fly was in the right place at the right time, too.
Is this the “Last Rose of Summer?” I guess you are not as far north as I thought you were.
I cannot remember the name of this rose, Libby, but they bloom late. It’s a nice splash of color against the bare trees.
How pretty those are! All my colors are gone now. Guess it’s time to bring out the Christmas tree. 🙂
I think Rob is coming home tonight with a Christmas tree. Those roses will be gone very soon.
