Yesterday was ‘mow the lawn day’. Because we’ve enjoyed rain every day for the past several days, I hoped assumed ‘mow the lawn day’ would be a washout.
I swore I felt a drop or two of rain, but what fell was not enough to cancel my mowing day. When I looked up, I noticed a bright white cloud separated from a dark gray cloud by a crisp blue sky. The contrast was beautiful, but I don’t believe this picture does it justice.
I hope you have a wonderful day, and I hope you make time to rest and look up!

Oh the photo so totally DOES do it justice!!! Beautiful.
Thank you, Kim. Though I am certain you’d be even more amazed had you seen the real thing.
That is striking. I hope it got you a little shade. I just cut my front yard. It is about 1000 degrees out there.
I started mowing around 5:45. Though there was some shade in the backyard, the front yard was in the sun. I think it was around 999 at our house, though the humidity was easily 1000%. One day I’ll get my courage up and have my husband snap a shot of me after mowing the lawn. It’s not pretty. Come to think of it, I should post it on Halloween!
No lawn mowing here for anybody yesterday. Rain and strong winds all day long. Enjoy the sun and the heat and perhaps send some to my little corner of the world. – remembers song and starts singing.
I hope your day became a little warmer as you sang the song, Judith. 🙂
It’s sure difficult to imagine it looked even nicer than that, Ms. D…
wow!
🙂
Thanks, SIG. It was beautiful.
I’ve been noticing the sky a lot more lately. Or maybe I just have my head in the clouds?
Hahaha… either or, eh?
