Project 366: Day 148

When we last met, I told you about the fabulous baker boys. Actually, I just this second came up with the fabulous baker boy reference; which, if you don’t know the movie, makes no sense.

As I wasn’t saying, the boys baked a carrot cake with cream cheese icing Friday night. Saturday morning, the boys enjoyed a slice of carrot cake with cream cheese icing for breakfast.

Today, we rest, give thanks, and eat another piece of cake.

    1. Oh my gosh, Jackie – doesn’t it look divine?! It was, too. The icing was incredible. I admit – I did not try the cake. Not a huge cake fan. And yes, there were raisins. But of course. 🙂

  1. Carrot cake for breakfast? Can you be my mommy? That looks wonderful. Enjoy your Sunday and the rest of the cake. There will be ice cream, right? Right?

    1. It is a vegetable, right? Plus, you have the dairy from the cream cheese. We teach our boys proper eating habits, K8. Sadly, there was no ice cream. I know!!

      1. Yes, carrots do count as a vegetable. Glad to see that you are teaching the boys correctly – a little Cherry Garcia would have covered the fruit group, as well. Just sayin’…

        1. Ha! That is Charlie’s favorite flavor.
Quick funny story… Joe spent the night with his friend last week. The Dad took them to the store to buy pizza, etc. The came home with various pints of Ben & Jerry’s too. Joe picked Phish Food. When it came time to eat it, he assumed he was going to eat it out of the container, like I do. When the Mom told me that – I laughed hard. Always aiming to set a good example for my kids – that is me!

    1. But run you did. Good for you! When you visit – I’ll make sure Joe makes a carrot cake just for you! The cream cheese icing was awesome! (I didn’t eat any of the cake. Not a cake fan.)

  2. Those fellas did a nice job on the cake! Looks wonderful. Almost swiped my finger through the frosting!

That was my thought on the matter. Your comment?
