Project 366: Day 10

My apologies, I am pulling from the picture archives again, because I am sharing a picture of someone else I’ve yet to see inΒ  2012.

As I listen to my youngest aggravate his older brother to no end, I have a greater appreciation for what this gal dealt with when she was younger. I can only hope I was no where near as annoying as Charlie is to Joe, though I have a feeling I was probably worse. Joe is only a year older than Charlie, and this gal is five years older than me. (16yr olds love it when their 11yr old sister is tagging along and/or causing trouble.) Thankfully, my sister didn’t write me off; I grew up. and we became friends.

Today, January 10th, 2012, I wish my sister, Celestial (not her real name), a happy birthday. (She’s pictured with our niece, SkippyJon Jones. (not her real name))

  1. Sibling rivalry took its course, it must, and now … you and sis are friends as well as family. How wonderful, it warms the heart.

    Blessings – Maxi

    1. It’s funny to see my boys entering the rivalry stage – I find it much easier to take part in the rivalry than to be around the rivalry, if you know what I mean. Thank you for stopping by, Maxi!

  2. My sister and I are 6 years apart and pretty much didn’t have anything to say to each other until I turned 14. Now we are the best of friends and I couldn’t imagine my life without her.
    Happy Birthday to your sister!

  3. Wow – that’s really cool! It’s nice that they both had their ‘own day’, but it’s also very interesting how close together those days are!
    Great portrait, too, Ms. D.!
