Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Claus

We are lucky enough to live within 5 miles of Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Beginning on Thanksgiving, Santa and his wife open their house to the public every night thru Christmas Eve.

Santa begins the decorating process early in October, adding new decorations every year. We enjoy driving by their house in the fall, watching Santa prepare his grounds wearing his standard blue jeans and a red shirt. I don’t know that I’ve ever driven by Santa’s house and not seen him in a red shirt and jeans.

Visiting Santa has become a fun tradition for us. We look forward to the visit with the same anticipation little ones look to the sky in hopes of seeing Rudolph. Last night, we paid our annual visit. I hope this finds you enjoying your own holiday traditions.

From our house to your house, we wish you health, happiness and hope.

    1. No lie – I am taking three half gallon containers of ice cream to my Mom’s house on Christmas day. Looks like Christmas will certain be a merry one! (smile) Thanks for the well wishes, Lisa. I extend the same to you.

    1. Agreed, Amy. They have been doing this for over 15yrs. I wish you could see their house – it is quite small and very modest. There entire place is decorated inside and out. Their grandkids dress up as elves, and help with the lines, etc. Recently (within two months), Santa had a pacemaker installed, yet he was still here for the kids. Wonderful wonderful selfless family.

  1. What fun! I love people who decorate like crazy and open their homes to the public. I wish there was one her in Anchorage.

I hope you had a great holiday, Lenore:)

    1. Nancy, we did have a wonderful Christmas, and I hope the same was true for you and your family. Thanks for taking a moment and peeking into the world of Mr. & Mrs. Claus. They really do have a special place.

That was my thought on the matter. Your comment?
