In case you are new here, I am on day twelve of 25 days and 25 different performances of the Christmas song, “O Holy Night”. For those of you who are not new, please pardon my repetitive opening throughout the course of these 25 days.
Two of my sisters and I love the song “O Holy Night”. After a series of emails with one of my sisters, I came up with the idea of sharing different versions/performances of the song “O Holy Night”.
Welcome to version number twelve.
I find the fact that this man is three years younger than my Mom hard to believe. I mean, with all due respect to my Mom, she’s old. For whatever reason, my mental image of this man never ages. Isn’t that funny about singers, performers, actors, etc? We remember them for certain performances, etc., and we find ourselves shocked when we see a recent picture of them on television or in the newspaper. Apparently, they age like us.
Today’s performer is right up there with Perry Como, when it comes to my childhood memories of Christmas music. However, this singer is known for many non-holiday songs. “Chances Are”, you have heard several of his songs.
I hope you have a wonderful Monday, and I hope you enjoy hearing “O Holy Night” sung by Johnny Mathis.
I love Johnny Mathis! If his voice were a precious metal, for me it would be platinum…clear, clean, pure and shining.
So true, Georgette!
Beautiful description, Georgette. I agree 100%!
He has a great voice.
It’s not Christmas without Johnny Mathis!
You done did get that one right, Jacquelin!
Smokin’ voice …. mmmm mmm good. 🙂 MJ
