December 6th brings with it the 6th performance

In case you are new here, I am on day six of 25 days and 25 different performances of the Christmas song, “O Holy Night”. For those of you who are not new, please pardon my repetitive opening throughout the course of these 25 days.

Two of my sisters and I love the song “O Holy Night”. After a series of emails with one of my sisters, I came up with the idea of sharing different versions/performances of the song “O Holy Night”.

Welcome to version number six.

With the dogs sleeping peacefully after their performance yesterday, we turn our attention back to humans.

Today’s performer could always be found on the Top 40 record/song charts in the 70s and 80s. She was a Bad Girl, toot toot – yeah – beep beep, and she was heard On the Radio … woo oh oh oh on the radio – woo oh oh oh on the radio. Without question, She Works Hard for the Money.

I am certain you’ll enjoy what you are about to hear. Please give a warm welcome to Donna Summer, as she preforms “O Holy Night”.

    1. Wendy! It is so good to see you again! I got your post update, and I look forward to reading it. The blogosphere has not been the same without you. Welcome back! (Thanks for visiting, too!) I am sorry the memory of ‘Silent Night’ brings you to tears. Christmas songs are powerful memory joggers, eh?

  1. Back in the day, when AA Hubby had that great job from which he was laid off, we went on a company-sponsored trip – kind of a convening of the Sales force and their significant others – and they hired Donna Summer to perform for us (all 150 of us) in a rinky-dink conference room at the hotel. She was AMAZING! Had to be the late ’90s or early ’00s (is that how you write it – how odd). She didn’t do the disco numbers, was “making a comeback,” and belted out songs like this … though not of the Christmas variety. Just goes to show that ‘enough is enough is enough’ is never really enough. (I crack myself up.)

And, my holiday season has officially commenced as this is the first Christmas song I have heard this year. Thank you! Love this post and the theme – you are SO CLEVER and CREATIVE!!!

    1. AA, I am envious you were able to see Donna Summer perform in such an intimate setting. I nodded my head in agreement, when you wrote she was amazing. I would imagine nothing less. I am happy to hear she did not disappoint. She is ‘hot, hot, hot … stuff.” (You crack me up, too!)
Thank you for your kind words, AA. Glad you enjoyed the music.

  2. Sing it sister!

    …. loved it.

by the way, you’ve been very busy blogging & I’m WAY behind in my reading (Christmas prep & all) … looking forward to catching up 🙂

    1. I have MJ. I’ve been posting like crazy, all in the effort to get caught up with the BlogFestivus. Happily, I am now caught up. I’ll still have two posts a day for the next 5 days, but then I’ll be back to one post. Sorry to bombard you! Thanks for your patience. 🙂
      And, I love Donna Summer!
