What the heck do I know?

Hello, my name is Lenore. I’ve already come out of the closet as it pertains to my religious views. I am a Christian. I’ve already come out of the closet as it pertains to my political views. I vote Republican. However, there is one thing I have kept close to my chest.

I fear disclosing this fact will open the door to insults, accusations, and violence. I feel sharing this information will require me to become concerned about the safety of my life and the life of my family. What am I doing?

What am I doing? I’m so confused.

In 2010, I started this blog to write out and explore my thoughts and feelings related to my marriage and my life. I hoped readers would relate to my stories, and I hoped I would start conversations.

Mid-2011, I began exploring flash fiction. I tapped into my alter egos (the many voices within) and created various stories inspired the group. I started taking part in writing challenges offered by other bloggers. And, I took part in Blogdramedy’s 12 days of BlogFestivus, which I enjoyed greatly. Continue reading “What am I doing?”

Is it live or is it Memorex?

‘Is it live or is it Memorex?’ What a dated title, eh? Oh well. I’m going with it.

Robert Siegel, from NPR’s All Things Considered, was interviewing George Clooney. When asked about the attention George receives from fans, George responds:

“I’ve walked with very famous people down red carpets over to the crowd of thousands of people,” he says, “and you’ll reach out to shake their hand and they’ve got a camera in their hand. And they don’t even get their hand out, because they’re recording the whole time. And you can tell people that you recorded Brad Pitt, but it would be very hard for you to say you actually met him, because you were watching it all through your phone.
