Today, we will publicly mourn with friends and family over the loss of Walter – a son, a brother, a father, a husband, a nephew, a cousin, an in-law, a friend, and a co-worker. People will speak about how Walter touched their life, and music and songs will be played and sung expressing the sorrow felt. Though many (buckets of) tears will be shed, laughter will be heard, memories will be shared, and comfort will be provided through family, friends, and faith.

Project 366: Day 325 With light, love, and humor
Walter died. There is no easy way to say those words. His heart stopped beating around 4:30 ET, Nov. 19th. While Walter was passing, a friend of mine lit a candle for him. In her words, “I lit this candle today with the intention and vision of Walter’s feeling and being free…”
This morning when I woke, my eyes were puffy and my nose was red. Starting a day in a world without Walter is not easy. But when I went to got dressed a smile came across my face. I wear this shirt with a smile, knowing Walter would smile with me. Oh how I will miss our conversations.
Special thanks to my friend for sharing the light with Walter.

Project 366: Day 302 80 Years
We did it! We surprised Mum with a belated 80th birthday celebration. She was thrilled, touched, and happy to see so many wonderful friends. Here’s a shot of Mum with her kids and her kids’ kids, minus our oldest niece and her Dad (brother-in-law). Please note my Mum’s foot attire.
