Is it live or is it Memorex?

‘Is it live or is it Memorex?’ What a dated title, eh? Oh well. I’m going with it.

Robert Siegel, from NPR’s All Things Considered, was interviewing George Clooney. When asked about the attention George receives from fans, George responds:

“I’ve walked with very famous people down red carpets over to the crowd of thousands of people,” he says, “and you’ll reach out to shake their hand and they’ve got a camera in their hand. And they don’t even get their hand out, because they’re recording the whole time. And you can tell people that you recorded Brad Pitt, but it would be very hard for you to say you actually met him, because you were watching it all through your phone. Ring Around the Rosy

I have not written a new post in nearly a week. I just told Rob that the voices in my head are so loud, I find it hard to maintain my composure when the real world becomes noisy.

My goal is to release the crazies within the next two day.

Before shutting down my computer and heading to a gathering of friends, I found this video of the boys. Filmed in 2008, the boys were ages 3 and 2. As I watched, I smiled widely and the voices were silent. Peace. God, I love my boys. Continue reading “Ring Around the Rosy”

Somebody’s Out There

I am participating in Monday Listicles, a weekly creation started by Stasha at The Good Life. The idea for today’s list comes from Bruna at Bees with Honey“If they were to make a movie of your life what would the soundtrack be like? Share 10 songs that best tell the story of your life. Initially, I had all sorts of songs I wanted to include in the soundtrack of my life – many more than 10, that’s for certain. However, as I began writing and remembering, I realized my life today is what matters most to me. Rest assured, I still managed to embarrass myself by revealing just how desperate I was in high school. (My apologies in advance, Joe and Charlie.)
