Project 366: Day 12

During the Christmas break, my son spent time pulling together information about sea urchins. Yesterday, he presented his research report to his fellow classmates. I don’t remember doing a research report in first grade, unless you count scoping the house for something interesting to bring for ‘Show and Tell’.

Camera in tow, I went to see/hear my son give his presentation. How very cool to watch him stand in front of his class. He did a great job. Plus, he never blushed or showed signs of nervousness. (He does not get his public speaking confidence from me, that’s for certain!)

When all is said and done, I plan on printing out all 366 pictures as a reminder of the year 2012. I did not intend to share any pictures from my son’s presentation with the blogosphere; however, when I look back at Project 366 and the year 2012, I want to remember my son’s first classroom presentation.

Project 366: Day 11

Enough with the family, eh? Well, how about a splash of color?

I work Tuesdays and Thursdays at the home of my boss. I love sitting in her office, because she surrounds herself with a veritable plethora of colored post-it note pads, notebooks, markers, pencils, highlighters and binder clips. (Yes, binder clips come in a color other than black!)

This week, while reviewing bills with her at her desk, I asked her if I could snap a shot of her cup o’color. Permission granted, I send you colorful thoughts for the middle of your work week! Continue reading “Project 366: Day 11”

Project 366: Day 10

My apologies, I am pulling from the picture archives again, because I am sharing a picture of someone else I’ve yet to see in  2012.

As I listen to my youngest aggravate his older brother to no end, I have a greater appreciation for what this gal dealt with when she was younger. I can only hope I was no where near as annoying as Charlie is to Joe, though I have a feeling I was probably worse. Joe is only a year older than Charlie, and this gal is five years older than me. (16yr olds love it when their 11yr old sister is tagging along and/or causing trouble.) Thankfully, my sister didn’t write me off; I grew up. and we became friends.

Today, January 10th, 2012, I wish my sister, Celestial (not her real name), a happy birthday. (She’s pictured with our niece, SkippyJon Jones. (not her real name)) Continue reading “Project 366: Day 10”
