Friday afternoon, we loaded the car, kids, and dogs, and we headed for Tray Mountain in Helen, GA. We joined three other families from our neighborhood and spent two awesome nights in the woods. This was the first time our family has camped some place other than our yard, and we are looking forward to next time. Margaret used my camera to capture this shot of me and Charlie. Now if you’ll excuse me, I am overdue for a shower.

You both look pretty happy about it. 🙂 I’ve never camped. Am I too told to start?
You are never too old to start, Patti. Grab a tent and put it up in your backyard. October is a perfect time for camping, too. Doooo it! 🙂
Looks like good times were had by all. 🙂
The weekend could not have gone better, BD. For our first time family camping trip – I’d call it a success in every way, shape, and form.
Oh, I can just smell those woods in the background! (No, not you, Lenore.) And that Charlie. Dear lord, he is a handsome young man.
Linda, I certainly hope the pine odor is stronger than the funk odor. (smile) I have since showered, so I smell like flowers now.
And Charlie … yes. His handsomeness is exhausting. 🙂
Family, neighbors, camping … great combination for makin’ memories, Lenore.
Blessings ~ Maxi
You got that right, Maxi. And, we are grateful. Blessings to you.
