I took “Our Red Beauty” on Monday night, as the sun was setting. While I was taking pictures of Cherokee, I noticed her brother, Wilbur, stayed by my side. Then I noticed our shadows, mine and Wilbur’s. This shot was the spontaneous shot – my first attempt. I took several more pictures of our shadows, but Wilbur wasn’t as loyal when he was the subject. I’m guessing Wilbur is more about spontaneity and genuineness. What a great dog.

Actually, I like this the more I look at it. And am glad you could not “pose” him for a “better” shot. This is great. Like I said, your talent is natural….. and good!
Thanks, Carol. I had a similar reaction – I liked the picture more and more as I looked at it. I just wish I wasn’t cut off at the hip. Thank you for your compliment!
I love this shot, Lenore. You and your best friend, what could be better?
Thank you, Patti. It is a special shot of me and Wilbur. He is a very loyal pup.
Out of the shadows, spontaneous and different, Lenore.

cool shot!
Thank you, Peg.
I must remember this. Always photograph myself in shadow. Much more slimming. 🙂
Yes, it lengthens one’s legs nicely, too. 🙂
Awesome shot. I love shadows in photography.
Thank you, Darla. I love shadows in photography, too. I’m happy to have found an opportunity to capture one.
