Welcome to the neighborhood, UnSouthernBelle. I shot this photo while the sun was setting. I was trying to capture the lighting. I’m glad you liked it.
I’m not sure what the word means, Priya. It is a Native American tribe, so yes – an Indian word. We rescued Cherokee on Cherokee St. in Acworth, GA. I named her Cherokee because of where we found her, as well as her coloring.
Thank you, SIG. Doesn’t she look incredible in the light? I suspect you’d have a field day photographing Cherokee. I’m sure you’d get some incredible shots.
Cherokee is a real beauty. I love furry friends, don’t you?
Yes!! I love, love, love furry friends, Katy. And, Cherokee is especially furry and friendly.
She is beautiful! Love the lighting on her face!

It was really lovely!
She’s going to be busy for a long, long time. 🙂 Such a pretty girl!
In our backyard you are absolutely right … she is going to be busy for a very long, long, time.
Her eyes are just gorgeous – orbs of gold! MJ
“Orbs of gold”. I like that, MJ. I agree 100%, too.
Cherokee is such a beautiful name, too. It is an Indian word, isn’t it? What does it mean?

Now that is one intent doggie, not mention a rustic-colored beauty.
Blessings ~ Maxi
She has a sharp eye, Maxi. And she is a beaut. Love my Cherokee.
Mutt-a-licous! 🙂
She is that – for certain!
