As I mentioned earlier, this past weekend my family gathered to celebrate my nephew’s 14th birthday. During the gathering, the boys and I sat and watched folks play Bocce ball. Wanting to capture this moment of a mom and her boys, I called in an assistant. Thanks to my niece Katherine, the moment was captured. Thank you, Katherine!

I am married. We have two boys, two dogs, and two cats. I am on the Oxford Comma team. I look forward to my first large cup of coffee, black, every single morning, and I look forward to that second large cup of coffee, still black, every single afternoon.

I STILL take mom/son pics and they are 24 and 27! Nothing like a mama and her sons!! Great shot by your assistant!!!
Thanks, Beth Ann. Photo opps don’t happen too often with the boys – rather, photo opps with me in the picture. It was nice just sitting on the lawn watching the game and having both my boys next to me. I wanted to document it. 🙂
Of course you did!!! Keep em coming!
Great picture! My granddaughter turned fourteen in March. She starts high school in a couple of months. Can’t believe it. I haven’t played bocce since I was a teenager. I’ll have to brush up on the rules because the house we’re renting on Cape Cod this summer has bocce balls.
Beautiful photo! Each time I pass the camera to my husband and ask him to take a photo of me with the boys (19 and 22 now), I say something along the lines of “I want them to see that they did, in fact, have a mother.” Twenty-four years of marriage and I still have to ask. Sigh.
Exactly!! Typically, it is the Mom that takes the picture. I didn’t want this moment to pass without documenting it. 🙂
Glad you niece was able to grab this wonderful shot for you, Ms. D
(this might have been difficult to do on your own… without some VERY long arms)!
🙂
LOVELOVELOVE!!!!!!
Thank you, Kim …. You’re swell, and you have excellent taste. 🙂
What a great shot, LD. You’re all too darn cute!
Thanks, Lisa. My niece is pretty good with a camera.
She did a good job of getting a picture that shows you as part of the family!
Thank you, Patti. Proof the kids and I are not one and the same. We each exist! 🙂
That’s a great photo, Lenore…a keeper for certain. Your sons are so handsome!
Thank you, Amy. I think I will have to frame this shot. I like it, too.
