The tree that fell on Sunday was a Poplar tree. Poplar trees are flowering trees, and the flowers are called tulips. This tulip was a victim of the fall.

I am married. We have two boys, two dogs, and two cats. I am on the Oxford Comma team. I look forward to my first large cup of coffee, black, every single morning, and I look forward to that second large cup of coffee, still black, every single afternoon.

Seriously, LD, you could make a photo book and make money.
You are so nice, Kim. I appreciate your vote of confidence, when it comes to my pictures.
Good one! Now I know more about poplars, TX being the home of the Alamo (álamo) and all. I agree with Kim, your close-ups are good.
Thank you, Georgette. Funny thing about the tree … the height is such that the flowers are hard to see. Because the tree fell, I was able to see the flower first hand. Lovely.
You have a metaphor here for your “My Story” post.
Woah.
I agree with Kim!
So… how much for one book? (smile) Thank you, Darla. You gals are swell!
beautiful tulip!
Thank you, Widi.
This is the year I learned of tulip trees. How did I miss them?? Great shot.
How did I miss this comment? Thank you, Patti!
This flower brought an instant smile. Thank you for the gift, Lenore.
Blessings – Maxi
Smiles are good. Glad you found one – a smile, that is.
So I’ve learned two things (at least) from this post and got to stare at a wonderful botanical shot?! Great success!
🙂
Thank you, SIG. I learned, too, as I ‘Googled’ poplar trees before I posted the picture. I’m smart like that.
