In case you are new here, I am on day 22 of 25 days and 25 different performances of the Christmas song, “O Holy Night”. For those of you who are not new, please pardon my repetitive opening throughout the course of these 25 days.
Two of my sisters and I love the song “O Holy Night”. After a series of emails with one of my sisters, I came up with the idea of sharing different versions/performances of the song “O Holy Night”.
We are officially within the top five, and I welcome you to version number 22.
I contemplated holding this version until the very end. Yes, this was in the running for the grand finale. Even now, as I share it, I wonder if I am sharing it too soon.
This version is a duet – a combination of beauty and might, and this version includes the last female performance on the list. In my opinion, this version is so wonderful, I am cutting my introduction short. These two performers need no introduction, as their voices speak volumes.
As these two sing “O Holy Night”, please sit back and relish the beauty and might that is Charolotte Church and Plácido Domingo.
Beautiful. How old is Charlotte Church now? Is she still a child? Her voice sounds like that of a grown woman.
According to Wikipedia, she was born in 1986. She’s still a youngin’, though more of a woman than a child. This version is beautiful, isn’t it? I love it.
This version is astounding; it leaves me holding my breath.
Breathe, Maxi! Then listen to it again. (smile)
Enjoyed it! Thank you for reminding everyone what the 25th and life is all about. 🙂
Well, hello Mel! Thank you for stopping by my neighborhood. Welcome.
I am glad you enjoyed this version of the song. You have excellent taste. (smile)
What voices – Charlotte and Placido. Wow…her voice has matured beautifully – still so clear and sure. What an ending!
This has been such a pleasure. Do we really only have three left??!!
Only two left now, Amy. Sad, eh? I’ve had so much fun. Thanks for joining me!
I never did count well! Except when it was my share of the Christmas candy! :d
I do not have a good relationship with numbers, due to their relation to math. Though I suppose if candy was involved, I’d be a scholar!
Another WOW! Amazing voices. I hadn’t heard Charlotte Church sing in years.
I love this duet, Patti. Glad you liked it, too.
