In case you are new here, I am on day ten of 25 days and 25 different performances of the Christmas song, “O Holy Night”. For those of you who are not new, please pardon my repetitive opening throughout the course of these 25 days.
Two of my sisters and I love the song “O Holy Night”. After a series of emails with one of my sisters, I came up with the idea of sharing different versions/performances of the song “O Holy Night”.
Welcome to version number ten.
Born in 1974, this American rock band has many catalogs of hits, many, many catalogs of hits. Five years ago (or more), I heard these guys in concert. The concert was phenomenal. What made the concert phenomenal? Well, it had nothing to with light shows, large stages or gimmicks. The show was fantabulistic (magnunderful, even) because I knew every single song they played.
I did a double take when I found this version of “O Holy Night”. Who knew such a popular band could sing such a beautiful Christmas carol? Well, I didn’t know; however, I know now – and so do you!
Please enjoy listening to the band 38 Special perform “O Holy Night”.
Pure heart and harmony make this rendition fabulous.
Isn’t it wonderful, Maxi? Glad you liked it.
What is it about Men harmonizing that gives me such a chill?
wonderful!
MJ
Men harmonizing and men dancing – two things I find sexy. Glad you liked the performance, MJ!
What a surprise. They did a great job.
I was surprised, too, Lisa. Thank goodness for working computers, eh?
Supra special! 😀
Supra – I like it!
I thought of you last night, Lenore, as Anna watched “Home Alone” and I heard the choir in the church singing “O Holy Night.” The music was probably the best part of that movie for me!
Wendy
Aw. That’s nice that my posts are carrying into your real life. OK. Maybe not. (smile) As the 25th nears, the performances will become grander and more familiar. Thanks for visiting and listening, Wendy!
Should I admit I’ve never heard anything by 38 Special (that I know of) until now? This was a great version of O Holy Night, and I, too, love to hear the harmony of men’s voices. IL DIVO just came to mind–I had to go to YouTube to see if they’ve done this song. Yes!
I was going to include Il Divo, but I decided to go with another male group. Il Divo does an awesome job of O Holy Night, by the way.
Glad you liked 38 Special. I’m happy to introduce you to new ‘old’ groups. (smile)
