BlogFestivus Day 1

I’m late, and I’m nervous.

No, I am not pregnant, nor does it have anything to do with pregnancy. It has to do with Blogdramedy.

See, Blogdramedy threw out a challenge. Write 12 144-word posts revolving around “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” The participants are to include one item from the song each day.

Seems simple enough, eh? Yes, well, this challenged started 5 days ago. Take a look at your calendar – today is Dec. 5th. I’m late. So, I will back peddle a bit. Forgive me, won’t you?

.::.

“You’re late.”

“I’ve already established that fact, thank you.”

“Are you pregnant?”

“Are you trying to annoy me? I’ve already said I am not pregnant.”

“You really think you’ll be able to keep up with this challenge?”

“I appreciate your vote of confidence. Your support is overwhelming.”

“I’m just saying, I know the kinds of conversations that take place in your head.”

“Yes, and you typically lead them all.”

“Someone has to try to make sense.”

“Whatever.”

“Come on now, you know you have a hard time keeping one train of thought. What makes you think you will be able to carry one train of thought for 12 days?”

“Actually, we’re down to 7 days.”

“You are so screwed.”

“Would you hush?!”

“So what now?  I suppose you have to think of a story that incorporates a partridge in a pear tree?”

“Not anymore.”

    1. I am going to have to knock out what – five tomorrow? I don’t want to be behind the entire time. Maybe I’ll do three/three. Great giggy wiggly – what have I started? Glad you liked it, Amy.

  1. Hey, Lenore now we can read a new post from you each day. It’s sounding great. All the best for the challenge.
But that snow falling in your blog, giving me a feeling that my eyes have some kind of problem, just like Darla mentioned in her last post. Rather than concentrating on your post, i am just concentrating on the movement of these snow balls. But still i am enjoying with them, by controlling their motion by just moving my cursor on them. (Smile)

So let me play with them, till your next post come, although my cursor is tired now. (Big Smile)

  2. Ha! You know how awesome it is, to wake up at 5:30 am and see another awesome post from you? Well, it’s pretty damn awesome.

Geesh, I think you said ‘awesome’ twice in one sentence!

    So? What’s your point?

The point is you are so lame it’s awesome.

    Oh, shut up.

    No, you shut up.

    1. Seriously, Darla. Your voices need an outlet. Join me – join us. Bring your voices out into the Blogosphere. Clearly, you’re a natural. (smile) Glad you liked it!

  3. What a party you are hosting filled with the holiday spirit! Love how you dreamed up those last two lines. You do like a challenge and a good cause! Spread the love, LD. But I think your wandering mind and Christmas spirit are up to the joy.

    1. Welcome to the neighborhood, Random! Good to see you here. I love being part of the BlogFestivus party, though it is kicking my butt. I am trying to catch up to all of you pros. That’s what I get for coming in late.

That was my thought on the matter. Your comment?
