Project 366: Day 15

Sundays are my sabbath, as I mentioned last week. I think everyone should set aside time to give thanks and notice the good in his/her life.

Friday morning, I woke up and walked into the living room. I found my youngest son snuggled in his fort. I smiled. This kid knows the value of a happy place – a comfortable place – a quiet place.

Project 366: Day 14

Today, in our house, a boy is celebrating his 7th birthday. We will be surrounded by friends and family, while I simultaneously stare at a kid that is growing up before my eyes. Oh, and we’ll have cake and ice cream. Lots of ice cream.

Project 366: Day 13

Are you superstitious? Check your calendars … today is Friday the 13th.

My Dad was born on May 13th, which meant celebrating his birthday on the dreaded Friday 13th from time to time. Thankfully, no one was ever hurt, injured or chased by an ax or a knife wielding guy in a mask.
