Today we celebrated our friend Tessa’s 2nd birthday. Tessa is a special friend of our family, because I was her ‘nighttime nanny’ during her first few months of life.
During the nighttime hours, I tended to Tessa’s needs, while her parents tended to the needs of her older sister. Her sister didn’t have many needs, so really Tessa’s parents tended to their sleep needs.
I am getting this picture posted just under the “Day 258” wire. After school, the boys and I went to the park with friends. Playing at the park led to an invitation to continue playing and eat supper at a friend’s house, which led to a late departure for home and a late return home. What a wonderful afternoon and evening these buddies had together.
I brought my camera with me to work, today. When I bring my camera with me, I pay more attention to the scenery that surrounds me during the ride to the boys’ school and my boss’ house. The boys will often make suggestions of scenery to photograph during the car ride, but I am unable to snap their suggestions because the car is moving.
