While Rob and I were visiting Walter in the hospital one night, the boys were with Grandma and Grandpa. When we came to get the boys, they greeted us with freshly created artwork. Instantly, I knew where I was going to hang Joe’s artwork. And for this and so much more, I am thankful.

Project 366: Day 325 With light, love, and humor
Walter died. There is no easy way to say those words. His heart stopped beating around 4:30 ET, Nov. 19th. While Walter was passing, a friend of mine lit a candle for him. In her words, “I lit this candle today with the intention and vision of Walter’s feeling and being free…”
This morning when I woke, my eyes were puffy and my nose was red. Starting a day in a world without Walter is not easy. But when I went to got dressed a smile came across my face. Walter was my conspiracy-theorist companion. Though he bought into the hype far more than I did, we truly enjoyed going back and forth with various theories. I wear this shirt with a smile, knowing Walter would smile with me. Oh how I will miss our conversations.
Special thanks to my friend for sharing the light with Walter.

Project 366: Day 322 For Walter
I didn’t post a picture yesterday due to good things and bad things. First, Joe had a poetry recital to attend. He presented a poem about friends to a group of about 50 people. He did such a great job, too. Second, I went to the hospital to visit Rob’s brother. He’s on a ventilator and heavily sedated due to a stroke and ‘coding’.
Rob’s brother is pictured in this family photo taken in August of last year. He is in the ‘front’ with me, in the pale green shirt, next to his Aunt in pink. We welcome any and all positive thoughts and prayers on Walter’s behalf. He is a son, brother, father, and husband. Though his wife is not pictured here, his daughter is the one in pink on the slide.
