Life is Better with a Pint of Vermont’s Finest

Standard

I am neither a doctor nor a therapist, yet people come to me with questions all the time. I can only assume the reason people believe I am full of wisdom is because of my excellent taste in ice cream. Only the best ice cream is good enough for me, and I am a firm believer that life is better with a pint of Vermont’s Finest, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.

Inundated with questions, I decided it was high time I shared my wisdom with those seeking it. May these words of wisdom help improve your life.

Sundays are therapeutic for me, and I always look forward to its arrival. In fact, I work harder on Saturdays, knowing Sunday is on my doorstep.

While I rest and give thanks today, I’ll indulge in another form of therapy. Continue reading

Project 366: Day 42

I’ll tell you a secret. I take these pictures ahead of time, and I schedule the posts to publish at the same time every morning.

I try to get the shots uploaded and edited (if necessary) days before the shots ‘go live’, but sometimes I am posting the pictures late at night… like tonight.

While plopped on the couch exercising my laziness, I realized I still had to get a picture for Saturday (today).  Alas, my laziness workout was going really well, and I didn’t want to ruin the routine. So, I asked for help from my husband, and I staged a shot – sorta. Trust me when I say, the container is empty. It didn’t have a chance.

Happy Saturday. I’ll spend the day sleeping off the ice cream headache or doing laundry. Continue reading

Another day at the beach, and the morning was beautiful. Though the temperatures were forecast to be in the low 90s with high humidity in the afternoon, the thermometer was a pleasant 78 degrees. The sky was clear, and the breeze was enough to cause the wind chimes to fill the air with pleasant music. With such a wonderful morning in front of me, I decided to go surfing.

With my freshly made coffee at my side, I sat down on the comfortable sofa and began to surf. What? Did you think I meant water surfing? Please.

As I was saying, I was enjoying my early morning surfing, when I found something pertaining to ice cream. As those who know me would expect, I stopped and accessed the link. What followed was a blurb about July being National Ice Cream month. Thankfully, I’ve know about National Ice Cream month, and I’ve been celebrating. Continue reading

The Lovin’ Spoonful(s)

While singing to myself, “Hot town, Summer in the city; Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty… ” My computer alerted me to a new email. Though I am sure I was busy doing something super important (other than singing, of course), I opened up my email to see who sent me a note.

The note was from my friend Tracy. The subject was “What is your favorite Ben & Jerry’s ice cream?”

An email about ice cream?! By all means, the super important something that had my attention seconds ago went to the back burner. I opened the email to find the subject line was the only information. Tracy had a simple question, and she didn’t feel the need to add anything to the body of the email. I appreciated her brevity, especially since ice cream was the subject. Continue reading
