The Lovin’ Spoonful(s)

While singing to myself, “Hot town, Summer in the city; Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty… ” My computer alerted me to a new email. Though I am sure I was busy doing something super important (other than singing, of course), I opened up my email to see who sent me a note.

The note was from my friend Tracy. The subject was “What is your favorite Ben & Jerry’s ice cream?”

An email about ice cream?! By all means, the super important something that had my attention seconds ago went to the back burner. I opened the email to find the subject line was the only information. Tracy had a simple question, and she didn’t feel the need to add anything to the body of the email. I appreciated her brevity, especially since ice cream was the subject. Untitled in Two Parts

My frequent visitors may recall, my friend’s Mom died December 23,  2010. I wrote a post on Dec. 8th, as my friend, Andrea HT, headed to NC to be with her Mom before she died. Adventure Girl’s Trail Tales: Update #13

Last week, the SPOT update I received had Adventure Girl hanging up her backpack NW Pittsfield, MA. The hanging of her backpack came after stepping off the trail for several days, while she flew to GA for college orientation.

Note to all those keeping track: Adventure Girl did not skip any of the trail, during her ‘off time’. She was picked up and dropped off in the same location.

Since last week, Adventure Girl entered the great state of Vermont (Mmmm… Ben & Jerry’s ice cream). Based on her SPOT update from yesterday, she is now located north of Button Hill and south of Round Hill in VT (Mmmm… Ben & Jerry’s ice cream). Though many miles are ahead of her, only one state is between Adventure Girl and Mount Katahdin, ME. (The state of New Hampshire)
