Another Ghost of My Blogging Past

I have spent the day wondering what I would write about in my next post. One topic brewing relates to the word ‘fair’, but the topic is still cooking and needs more time to simmer.

As I flipped through various  news stories and headlines, I started noticing more and more ‘year in review’ headlines. While scanning the blogosphere, I am seeing an increase in posts related to resolutions.

Christmas day has come and gone, and Hanukkah’s 8th night is tonight. After today, all eyes will be on New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, gym memberships, and a rebirth sought through resolutions.

Well, I won’t play that game.

Though I may try to stay awake until midnight on December 31st, I have no grand plans for ringing in the new year. I am not joining a gym, and I am not making any resolutions. Continue reading “Another Ghost of My Blogging Past”

A Ghost of Blogging Past

Full disclosure: I am not a fan of re-posting old posts. I accept that others do it, and I understand the reasoning behind re-posting old posts; however, I prefer to read and write new stuff.

That said, I linked to an old post of mine earlier this week, and I am getting ready to re-post something I wrote in February 2010.

Why am I re-posting a ghost from my blogging past? Because Kim did it. Seriously. Yesterday, Kim took part in a link-up, and she re-posted something she wrote last year. What I would say to James Lipton

Today, I am participating in Monday Listicles, a weekly creation started by Stasha at The Good Life.

On Mondays, Stasha thinks of an idea for a list, or she enlists the help of her fellow bloggers to think of an idea for a list. For instance, the idea for today’s list comes from Bridget at Twinisms: Answer the 10 questions James Lipton asks of his guests during the show “Inside the Actor’s Studio”. Because I have a habit of talking to myself, an interview-related list seemed right up my crazy alley.
