Yesterday, Joe’s classroom had a Mother’s Day breakfast. Though my Mom had plans to play Bridge that morning, she still managed to drive out of her way and join Joe and me for breakfast.
My Mom brought a mummified chipmunk with her, too. She found it in her shed, and she thought it would make for a great classroom/science observation. No, I’m not kidding, and I admit – it looked pretty cool. Maybe that mummified chipmunk will be the picture tomorrow.
While I put my name on the photo, the photographer for this particular shot is Joe’s teacher, Mrs. S. She’s fantastic!

How great she could make it! You look just like her, Lenore. A mummified chipmunk? She is the coolest g-ma ever. (although it would creep me out a bit…ha!)
I was happy she made it -as was Joe. And yeah, she’s a pretty cool grandma!
Your mom is not afraid of anything, is she?
She doesn’t like snakes. I do – but she doesn’t.
So sweet! Glad she made it. I want to see the mummified chipmunk!
Really, Leah? I fear a mass exodus from my blog, if I post a picture of a mummified chipmunk. Maybe if I include my cute kids in the picture, the viewers will stay. (smile)
Awww!
Thanks, Lisa.
Great photo of the three of you. Your mom is beautiful, so full of life! I definitely see the family resemblance. Would love to see the chipmunk. She is one cool grandmother.
The chipmunk is coming. Proceed with caution.
And thanks for the kind words regarding the picture. My Mom and I both look better in our heads than in person. (smile) Good thing we exude confidence. Hee, hee.
I think that’s true of most of us (look better in our heads)! lol There is love and kindness evident in your faces–true beauty.
Three generations of building memories … how sweet.
Blessings – Maxi
Thank you, Maxi. I’d say this picture shows we are blessed, eh? So grateful.
Hi,
Great photo, the chipmunk sounds very interesting, certainly something completely different. 🙂
Stay tuned, Mags. Something different is around the corner!
What a great shot! Mrs. S is a natural. ;0
She is a natural! I believe she’s for hire. 🙂
Oh no! The tiny instruments didn’t arrive quite soon enough!
*Did you ever see the episode of Seinfield where George runs over a squirrel? I hope so – otherwise this comment probably makes even less sense)!
🙂
I haven’t seen that episode, SIG. But honestly, you still crack me up. You’re gifted like that. 🙂
Great portrait of you 3. I wanna see that chipmunk!
Be careful what you request, Linda. As you noted later … (smile)
