.: The Storm :.
The storms were violent, taking many trees down.
And, the power was out throughout the whole town.
Fearing the worst, she made a call to her spouse.
Hoping to learn they were safe at the house.
He answered the phone, and said the news was not good.
Their living room and kitchen were now filled with wood.
But his tone remained too somber; and he paused for too long.
She knew there was something – something else there was wrong.
She started to shake, wondering if she could take it.
“I’m sorry,” he said. “Your ice cream did not make it.”
.:.
The horror! Even the Phish Food too?
Oma, it is the stuff of nightmares. *shudder*
Not just a drabble but a rhyming drabble at that! Splendid.
Thank you, Linda. Glad you liked it.
Ha!
Hee, hee. Glad you laughed, Lisa.
Excellent, Excellent & Excellent Lenore. I like the rhythm of this drabble a lot. When it comes to drabble, there is no one better than you Lenore. 🙂
Thank you very much, Arindam. I’ve been reading and writing less and less these days. It felt good to create two things in one.
HORROR STORY!!!! 😀
The worst kind of horror story, Steve.
Ha! Fabulous. I laughed out loud at the punch line!
Excellent, Jules. I am glad you had a laugh.
AHHH! I am scared! This was great, Lenore.
I had to sleep with a light on the night I wrote this post, Darla.
I love you. I really do. You pulled it off and with amazing flare and depth.
Thank you, Kim. I can be very deep when it comes to ice cream. 🙂
*snort* Thanks for the excuse to finish off that half pint of caramel praline crunch…just in case. 😉
Dramedy, never leave a half-pint unfinished. Never.
Oh no! Not the ice cream! lol Great job!
Thank you, Patti. I wish the story had a happier ending. 🙂
NOOOOOOooooooo!!!

Most horrific ending ever, wouldn’t you agree? The stuff of nightmares.

Try to be strong. 😉
Hahaha! Good call, Peg.
