I hope your weekend has been an enjoyable one. I invite you to take a load off your feet. Pull up a chair and join me down by the river. You can tell me all about your day, or just sit and watch the water flow.
If you can’t join me down by the river, I hope you will make a point to find time to take a load off and sit a spell.

I am married. We have two boys, two dogs, and two cats. I am on the Oxford Comma team. I look forward to my first large cup of coffee, black, every single morning, and I look forward to that second large cup of coffee, still black, every single afternoon.

I love your photos – but your daily count is making me realize just how quickly time is passing me by. I wish I could bring my coffee and sit by the river
Me, too, K8. I’m not sure I enjoy watching each day pass me by so obviously.
I’ll leave a chair open for you, K8. Stop by whenever you get a chance. You’re always welcome here.
Love these colors. Mom, Andy and I are off to Dallas in just a few hours!
Thank you, Georgette. I hope you, your Mom and Andy had a lovely time in Dallas.
a simple photo, yet so beautiful! the composition and colors are perfect
Welcome to my neighborhood, BWBears. Thank you for stopping by and commenting. I am glad my photo.
Hi,
What a lovely spot, and I love the colours on the chairs. 🙂
Thanks, Mags. The spot is perfect for resting and relaxing, provided you’re not there June – August. A bit too hot, muggy and buggy for Summer respites.
SERIOUSLY? I’m shocked every timeI see where you live. How awesomely beautifully amazing.
Yeah well, the guy that owns the land is super cool for letting us ‘escape’ on his property. We are grateful.
lovely colors!
Thank you, Gary. I appreciate you stopping by the neighborhood and leaving a note. Glad you liked the colors.
I love those colorful chairs. Here I am, taking a load off, staring at the laptop…it’s supposed to be lovely this coming week, though!
We enjoyed the wonderful weather this past weekend, Patti. I think rain is filling our week. Cheers!
Lenore, this is one of my favorite photos so far. I love everything about it. Today I am just happy to be outside, breathing in the warm air and listening to the birds. (Can’t believe birds are chirping this early in our season!) I hope you had a chance to sit back and chill. Wish I could be sitting right there in one of those chairs sipping coffee right now….ahhhhh….
Thank you, Darla. Honestly, if you ever come South, I hope you’ll stop by for a visit. We can go cop a spot in the chairs, and I’ll even let you sit in the color chair you want! Glad you were able to enjoy some warm weather this past weekend. Spring is around the corner.
Hi Lenore – my favourite colour is green so may I please sit on that chair and enjoy the peace with you?
Hello Judith. You betchum, the green chair is reserved for you. I look forward to enjoying the day with you. 🙂
Another great one…composition and color are wonderful!
Thank you, Bella. Glad to have a neighbor with access to such perfect places and pictures. 🙂
Aaah, I’m right there with you, Lenore. I can feel the breeze caress my face, sippin’ from my cup, ready to head to the car for my pole. Blessings – Maxi
It was a lovely morning, Maxi. Glad you could enjoy it with me. 🙂 Blessings to you.
Looks SO inviting… and relaxing!
Brilliant atmosphere you’ve captured here, Ms. D!
🙂
Thank you, SIG.
You’ve got a great eye. Other people, especially me, would just see chairs.
Thanks, Oma. You made me laugh with your comment. Literally. 🙂
Lovely colors!
Welcome to the neighborhood, Bullu. I am glad you liked the colors in this picture. Thank you for visiting.
Beautiful photo! One of my favorite things to do is get away and find some time to spend alone just enjoying God’s beautiful nature. It’s so relaxing… and definitely helps me forget about all those worries in life that seem to always sneak their way into my day
Amen, Anna. Escaping into nature is a great way to connect with God. I am glad you liked this picture. Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
