Calcium has nothing to do with it.

Salutations, readers! Welcome to Monday’s Listicles, a weekly creation started by Stasha at The Good Life.

Today, in honor of Valentine’s Day, Stasha is asking us to focus on love. Planning a love post for tomorrow, I had no intentions of participating today. However, my intentions changed due to a weekend blog post. The blogger mentioned something that stopped me in my tracks. This was the second time I was stopped in my tracks about the same topic, and I found  myself on a mission.

I’ll share the incredibly distracting post and tweet in a minute. First, though, I have a list share. You see, while searching, craving and dreaming, I realized this love list was unavoidable, and calcium has nothing to do with it.

The Top 10 Flavors of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream I Love

1. Phish Food:  Chocolate Ice Cream with Gooey Marshmallow, Caramel Swirls and Fudge Fish
2. S’mores:  Chocolate Ice Cream with Fudge Chunks, Toasted Marshmallow
and Graham Cracker Swirls
3. New York Super Fudge Chunk:  Chocolate Ice Cream with White
and Dark Fudge Chunks, Pecans, Walnuts and Fudge Covered Almonds
5. Americone Dream:  Vanilla Ice Cream with Fudge Covered Waffle Cone Pieces and a Caramel Swirl
6. Rocky Roadish:  Toasted Marshmallow Ice Cream with a Toasted Marshmallow Swirl and Fudge Covered Almonds
7. Chocolate Fudge Brownie:  Chocolate Ice Cream with Fudge Brownies
8. Chocolate Macadamia:  Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Creams with Fudge Covered Macadamia Nuts
9. Dave Matthews Band’s Magic Brownies:  Black Raspberry Ice Cream Swirled with Sweet Cream Ice Cream and Fudgey Brownies
10. Dublin Mudslide:  Irish Cream Liqueur Ice Cream with Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies and a Coffee Fudge Swirl

Please note: I’ve yet to try #9 and #10. For whatever reason, unbeknownst to me, Ben & Jerry do not sell those two flavors in the state of Georgia.

These two flavors were brought to my attention by Stasha (yeah, the instigator of this list) and Byronic Man.

Stasha randomly tweeted about the flavor around the first week of February. I immediately tweeted back, seeking more information. Just like a good friend should, Stasha tweeted a photo to prove the existence of what I believe tastes like heaven on earth:

Byronic Man mentioned his mysterious flavor, ironically, in a post he wrote, because I tagged him to participate! Had I known he would use it as an opportunity to make me drool all over my keyboard and become increasingly jealous of his access to this frozen delicacy, I would not have tagged him!

Maybe, just maybe, there is an ice cream fairy that will find this post traveling throughout the blogosphere. And maybe, just maybe, a package will arrive at my doorstep, containing two pints of #9 and #10 packed in dry ice. It could happen, right? Ben? Jerry? Are you guys listening? Hello?!

  1. I love this post – great take on the love list of 10 🙂 S’mores ice cream, are you kidding me? How did I not know about this! They all sound awesome but I may have to go on a special mission for the S’mores flavor.

    1. Could it be your area does not get S’mores?! I thought GA was the only state neglected with the lack of flavors. Let me know if you can’t locate S’mores, Anna. I’m willing to send it to you – packed safely in dry ice. Just say the word. (Thank you for visiting!)

    1. Do they have it in your area, Pegoleg? Tell me if they do. Wait. No. Don’t tell me. Oh, please tell me. No, wait – I don’t want to know. Oh, just tell me already!!

      1. In the interest of full disclosure, I have to admit that, not only have I not tried the Dublin Mudslide, I’ve never tried any of those flavors. At all. I think I had some Ben & Jerry’s once, 30 years ago. The thing is that I always went for volume, not quality. There. Now you know.

        1. Peg – you gotta get out more. Life is way too short to spend your time eating cheap ice cream. Taste the difference. Trust me, it is worth the $1,000 per pint. I guarantee it. I’ve been known to send coupons for free pints of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream to my blogging friends. I may have to hook you up. There. Now YOU know. 🙂

    1. I know!! I mean, I find it quite rude that Byronic would post something PRIOR to make sure it was available to everyone. He’s cruel.
(Glad you liked the list. Thanks for stopping by.)

    1. Did you find it? Does Maine sell it? You are so close to Vermont… you Maine’folk better have it. Keep in the freezer for me, Darla. I’ll come by in July to pick it up.

  2. Sure, post this on a day after a doctor appointment in which the scale exploded when I stepped on it, the medical assistant tsk-tsk’ed when she took my blood pressure, and the gastroenterologist suggested I lay off dairy, grains, chocolate, coffee, and every other delicious thing in life…

On my list of top 10 bloggers I heart – you know you’re on there, right?

    1. Hahahahaha. K8, here’s a truth: I am binging on ice cream these days, because I am giving it up for Lent. Seriously. I will not tell you how many pints I have had in the past few weeks because it is ridiculous. I only have a week left though … tonight, I’m enjoying Rocky Roadish. Yes, I’m serious.

You’re on my list of top 10 bloggers, too, K8. And not just because you are showing Andy a good time. By the way, you are overdue for some poetry. No pressure.

  3. DId you not know I am the Ben & jerry’s queen! You are missing my three favorite flavors: Brownie Cheesecake was tops until they unveiled Milk & Cookies. Imagine cookies & cream meeting cookie dough- HEAVEN! The only one that tops that is What a cluster? peanut butter ice cream, caramel clusters, peanut butter & marshmallow swirls. DELISH!

    1. If you’re the Queen – then I am the Queen Mum. I have yet to try Milk and Cookies – perhaps I should. And, I’ve thought about trying the Cluster, but I’m not a huge fan of peanut butter. I mean, I like peanut butter – but I’m not sure I want peanut butter ice cream. Still, you may have noticed, several of my faves have marshmallow. LOVE marshmallow cream.
      Thanks for visiting, Jackie!

  4. They are probably banned in GA because of the drug reference in #9 and the alcohol reference in #10. *sigh*

I’ve only ever had #7. After reading your list, I feel like an ice cream failure.

    1. Oh my gosh, Amy. Surely you jest, yet something tells me you may be right. No wonder you don’t find Schweady Balls here, either. Freakin’ Bible Belt! (Ha!)
Please promise me you will explore other flavors, Amy. There is so much more to Ben and Jerry than #7. Soooo much more.

  5. Hi,
They all sound delicious, a few I haven’t tried or heard of, but I’m game. 🙂
It’s Valentines Day today here, and no doubt, I will be partaking in a few sweet dishes when we go out for lunch. 😀

    1. GG – for whatever reason, your comment came up as Spam. You? Spam? I haven’t a clue what WordPress is thinking.
I will gladly mail you a scoop of each … as soon as I can open a pint and not eat the entire contents before realizing I am to send you a scoop of the ice cream. There’s a greater chance I’ll just send you an actual scoop.
Thank you for stopping by, GG. I don’t care what WordPress says … you are not spam.

  6. Sad to say Ben and Jerry’s is pretty limited here in Toronto. My standby is Cherry Garcia. I’ve never even heard of half of these flavours. May be you could give up, giving up ice cream for Lent??

    1. Hello, Paul. I am sorry you guys do not have a wide selection of Ben & Jerry’s. Cherry Garcia is a good representation of their craft, though. (smile) One thing you do have are Jos. Louis snack cakes. Those suckers are awesome!! Plus, you have Tim Horton’s. So – the life in Toronto is pretty good. 🙂 Thank you for visiting!!

  7. I must agree with Paul. There are other pints of things to give up. Ben and Jerry’s have feelings you know…
This is hands down awesome, fabulous and brilliant list. LOVE it. Yeah, how come Cherry Garcia is not up there? That was the first flavor I ever had. It was love at first bite. My husband introduced me…

    1. Know what, Stasha … Charlie’s favorite flavor is Cherry Garcia. The boys lucked out … their Mom is a freak about junk food, limiting what they can eat. But when it comes to ice cream…. I say EAT IT!!! 🙂 You and your husband have great taste. Duh! 🙂

    1. I hope you are able to get your hands on some, Lisa. It does a body good. (smile) Thank you very much for visiting and commenting. I appreciate your time. Long live Ben & Jerry’s ice cream!

    1. I hope you are able to enjoy a pint (or two) of the half-baked flavors this week, Shannon. Life is too short to skip (and skimp) on ice cream! Thank you for reading. I appreciate your visit.

  8. Oh yeah, it’s number 10 for me, Lenore. I’m not much of a drinker, but it will be Irish Cream when I do … aaand I love a hot fudge sundae. Put the two together and I’m lovin’ it.

    Blessings – Maxi

    1. Do you have access to Dublin Mudslide, Maxi? I am sooooo jealous if you do. One day I’ll get my hands on it – and my spoon in it. One day. I have faith. 🙂 Thank you for visiting!

  9. I’m sensing a theme in your chcolat er, I mean, list, Ms. D!
    They all sound awesome…
I don’t know if I could put down my Cherry Garcia long enough to try them all, though!
    🙂

That was my thought on the matter. Your comment?
