Project 366: Day 353 A Tradition

For the past four or five years, maybe longer, we’ve made the journey to Santa’s house at least once during the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. In prior years, we’d visit Santa just about every Friday night. This year, our first visit was late in the season. Hopefully, we’ll get back at least one more time before he flies away on his sleigh. We are so lucky to have Santa living close to our house.

Project 366: Day 348 Light

My heart goes out to the families directly affected by the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. In addition to those families, my heart goes out to the countless other families directly affected by violence that don’t appear in the headlines, become a trending topic on Twitter, or become a photo made viral via Facebook. Social media takes over during the ‘big’ events, while many deal with this sort of thing on a daily basis. Love, light, peace, and strength are my prayers for the families.
