Project 366: Day 340 Wordy Wednesday

On Saturday, the boys had Holiday Book Fair at Barnes and Noble. A portion of the sales generated December 1st through 5th (today) are donated to the boys’ school library fund. While at the book fair, I captured Joe and his friend taking a break to read a little. This picture was not staged, though Joe did raise his book a little higher in an attempt to block his face.

Before we left the store for the day, I purchased the book “The Lightning Thief” by Rick Riordan. The boys and I are reading it at night, just before bed, and we are enjoying it. If you need to purchase a book or book-related item for yourself or someone else, please consider making the purchase through Barnes and Noble today, December 5th. If you use code #10925782 when you check-out, a portion of your purchase will be donated to Joe’s school. Thank you!

It’s a game where you try to keep the ball on the track throughout the entire maze. This game keeps the boys entertained for long periods of time throughout the day.

This morning, while waiting for me to finish getting ready for church, the boys were engrossed in the game.

Project 366: Day 336 Whatcha’ doing?

Joe had a friend spend the night with him last night. This morning, I loaded up the boys and took them to Dutch Monkey Doughnuts (DMD). DMD is a fantastic doughnut place, with a different selection of wonderfully delicious doughnuts every Tuesday – Sunday.

I have no actual doughnuts to share with you, nor do I have any pictures of doughnuts to share with you. Instead, I’m letting you see the fascination the boys had in the making of the doughnuts. The picture includes my boys, Joe’s friend, and two other friends (brothers) who met us for some tasty doughnuts.
