She does exist. The Linguist exists.
Yesterday, we stopped at a NY diner off I-84, and we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with a fellow blogger, Leonore from As a Linguist. Wanting to document the meeting, I came prepared with my camera. And once again, I am startled by how blah I look without makeup. You’d think I’d learn and make more of an effort.
No worries. Leonore didn’t care. She greeted me with a smile and a hug. Thanks for meeting us, Leonore! I’ll wear make-up next time. (Ha. Who am I kidding?)

What a great opportunity and great “photo by Rob.” You have seized the moment, Lenores.
Thank you, Georgette. It was nice to seize the moment.
Well “I” think you look great!!! How neat to meet each other at a diner!!! 🙂
Thanks, Beth Ann. The food and company was great!
Forget the make-up, Lenore, you look wonderful. Glad you were able to meet Lenore and have a special get-together. Great job by Rob with the photo.
Blessings – Maxi
Aw thanks, Maxi. I was thrilled Leonore made the drive to meet us early in the morning. We had a nice time.
Good move! If you can’t document it, it might not have happened!
I know, Oma! I’d hate to create a sense of doubt. Proof is essential! Hopefully, we can have a bite with you in the future. (I’ll have my camera with me then, too.)
Well, I was impressed with how much better you look without makeup than I would. I had to wear it. Didn’t want to scare y’all away 😉 I especially like how the sun highlights the fact that I need to do my roots.
Bah! We can pick at ourselves all day, but it’s a great picture! I’m so glad it worked out and it was truly great to meet you and your family.
Do you ever walk out the door thinking you look pretty good only to capture your reflection in the mirror proving otherwise? (smile) That is how I live my life. Hahahaha! I walk around thinking I look one way, then I see a picture and gasp. 🙂
Your hair looks great, Leonore! And you are right – it is a great picture. Thank you for meeting us. Fun was had by all.
Great picture! It’s fun meeting blog friends. You are both beautiful, the smiles, genuine. That’s what matters.
Thank you, Patti. We were genuinely happy. It was fun.
You do NOT look blah.
But in my head I looked like “WOW!” (smile)
The smiles on your faces beat anything “Cover Girl” could ever do 🙂
MJ
Aw thanks, MJ. I didn’t even use photoshop! 😉
Great photo! You guys look awesome! You should’ve stopped to visit me–then you would’ve seen a really scary makeup-less face.
I am really sorry I did not get to meet you face to face, Darla. Next year – for certain. Unless of course, you head this way during the cold season.
You both look great, Lenore. And isn’t it exciting meet a fellow blogger? I’ve had the experience just once, but hope to do it again very soon. People who have never met can still feel like old friends.
Thank you, Charles. It was exciting to meet Leonore. I hope to meet other bloggers, too. It’s nice to put their words to a face/voice.
What a great set of Lenores!
I think it is something with the name. 🙂
How funny you are! I’m constantly at war with the whole makeup thing. On the one hand, I can’t bear to look at myself without it. But on the other hand, I can’t bear to look at myself while I put it on, so what to do? Aim and pray?
I think I look fine – but then when I see myself in pictures, I gasp! 🙂 Makeup frustrates me, because when I wash it off, I’m back to my original look. What’s the point?! (smile) The best part is the fact that I rarely wear makeup. When I do – I get tons of compliments on how nice I look. Hee, hee. Makes me giggle.
You’re a better artist than I am! I always worry that I’ve painted a clown onto my face!
